TMM At The Crossroads Guitar Festival
The Texas Musicians Museum attends the Crossroads Guitar Festival and draws a crowd.

ecshow2The Texas Musicians Museum's booth at the Crossroads Guitar Show in June attracted crowds of visitors wowed by the artifacts, including a custom made replica of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Number 1 guitar (left).

Other items on display include a stage worn outfit of Barbara Mandell's and a early 1960's Barbara Mandrell show poster from a performance in Mercedes, Texas; Buddy Holly's sixth grade annual with an extremely rare signature using the "Holley" spelling of his last name; a Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys 1940's Buckholts, Texas show poster and a vintage 1940's photo signed by the entire band.

Also on display was Janis Joplin's high school yearbook and a very rare Vulcan Gas Company poster featuring Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company at an Austin, Texas show. The museum also displayed just a very small fraction of its large record award collection.

A few of the record awards displayed were: Waylon Jennings "Wanted: Outlaws" RIAA award, Steve Miller "Fly Like An Eagle" RIAA award and Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians "Shooting Rubberbands At The Stars" RIAA award which was presented to Bass player Brad Houser. The items on display at the Crossroads event represented just a small taste of what is yet to come when this Texas-size museum opens it doors in the Spring of 2005.
